Public space should feel alive. For City of Launceston, that meant activating the CBD with bold, temporary graphics that draw people in and invite them to pause.

We recently produced a series of custom Thoroughfare stencils for the city-wide event. These stencils help bring art directly onto walls and surfaces across Launceston’s laneways. The event itself brings together public art, live music, skate culture and food in the heart of the city. As a result, everyday spaces take on new energy.

Because the artwork is sprayed live, precision matters. We cut each stencil carefully to ensure clean edges and sharp letterforms. Clear spacing also helps the final design read well from a distance. In public settings, small details make a big difference.

We selected durable stencil material so crews can apply paint smoothly and confidently. At the same time, the material remains easy to handle on site. This balance supports both speed and accuracy during installation.

As a result, the finished graphics feel bold and intentional. They sit comfortably within the urban setting while still keeping the raw energy that street art demands.

Projects like this show how strong production supports cultural events. While the artwork takes centre stage, careful fabrication makes it possible. We’re proud to support the City of Launceston behind the scenes and help turn everyday walls into something worth stopping for.
