Flying Colours Group fabricated and manufactured a range of illuminated retail signage for the Relay store at Launceston Airport. The scope included suspended double-sided lightboxes as well as illuminated category signage throughout the tenancy.

We refined the serif typography to suit illuminated applications, adjusting stroke weight and internal joins to achieve clear, even light distribution. As a result, the finished letterforms deliver strong visual impact while maintaining the intended brand aesthetic.

We constructed the suspended double-sided lightboxes using custom aluminium housings, opal acrylic faces and integrated LED illumination. In addition, we concealed all wiring through engineered sleeve mounts to create a clean, seamless finish. We also incorporated certified fixing systems to meet engineering requirements for slab-mounted installation within a public airport environment.

Throughout the store, we fabricated illuminated category signage including “Local Wine & Spirits,” “Gifts & Souvenirs,” “Apparel,” “Luggage,” “Reading” and “Health & Beauty.” Each element provides consistent brightness and precise edge detailing. Furthermore, our team carefully controlled fabrication tolerances and assembly processes to ensure durability and long-term performance.

Ultimately, the completed installation demonstrates Flying Colours Group’s capability in delivering premium illuminated signage for regulated, high-traffic retail environments.
