Great packaging isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about how it works.

For this promotional packaging project with Tasmanian Chocolate Makers, we designed and produced a chocolate box that could grow alongside the business.

Tasmanian Chocolate Makers - Flying Colours Group

First, our team designed the structure in-house. It features a self-locking, glue-free mechanism, which creates a cleaner, more sustainable solution while also improving assembly speed and finish quality. At the early stages, producing the packaging using Zünd digital cutting allowed Tasmanian Chocolate Makers to trial new flavours in short runs, without the cost of tooling.

As demand increased, the packaging evolved with it. Higher volumes justified the move to a custom die-form, which improved consistency, tightened tolerances, and gave greater control over production. Importantly, the original structural intent remained intact.

Overall, this project shows how thoughtful packaging design and production planning can support real business growth, balancing flexibility, sustainability, and premium execution.
